Lois Kay Sizemore

Lois Kay Sizemore, 81, of Greenup, Kentucky, went home to be with the Lord, Friday, October 30, 2026, at Southern Ohio Hospice Center, in Portsmouth, Ohio, with her loving family by her side.

Lois was born October 11, 1945, in Greenup, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Homer Wilson and Sabre Izetta Sturgill Stephenson.

Lois was a1964 graduate of the former Greenup Independent High School and was a baptized believer and 48-year member of Bridges Christian Church in Russell, Kentucky. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, and working in her flowers. One of her favorite things to do was making candy for family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Ernest David Sizemore; three brothers Herbert Wayne Stephehson, Haney Joe Stephenson, and Roger Wilson Underwood; four sisters Shirley Jean Hill, Belva Brown, Bonnie Fierro, and Ethel Ward.

She is survived by a son Gary David Sizemore and his wife Jennifer of Russell, Kentucky; a daughter Tammy Myers and her husband Rusty of Flatwoods, Kentucky; a brother Larry Raymond Stephenson and his wife Sally of Wurtland, Kentucky; three grandchildren Sydney Jane Sizemore, Brooklyn Paige Sizemore and Madison Kate Sizemore; a special friend Imogene Messer; a host of nieces, nephews, and family.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00am, Tuesday, November 3, 2026, at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup, Kentucky by Pastor Rick Miller. Burial will be in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens in Flatwoods, Kentucky. Visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00pm Monday and one hour before the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
