Judy Louise Riggs

Judy Louise Riggs, 81, of Garrison, Kentucky, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, October 28, 2026, at Grant Memorial Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, surrounded by her loving family. 

Judy was born, April 24, 1945, a daughter of the late Edward and Annie Bentley Stone. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years William Franklin Riggs; four brothers Roy Stone, Ronnie Stone, Kermit Stone, Jimmy Stone; two sisters Gussie Kinsey and Patty Smith; a grandson Jeffrey Dale Pruitt

Judy was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She loved those she came in contact with, and never let you enter or exit a room without being hugged and made to feel like you belonged. 

She attended Valley Chapel Christian Baptist Church, Greenup County, Kentucky, for many years, she loved working in her flowers, sewing, canning, taking care of her loved ones as much as she could.  She loved making people laugh with her jokes, loved shopping and spending time with her daughters and playing Rummy with them as well. She knew how to make everyone laugh, and her contagious laughter always filled the room.

She is survived by two daughters Sandra (Jeff) Pruitt of Garrison, Kentucky and Dusty (David) Monroe of West Portsmouth, Ohio; two sons William (Rhonda) Riggs of Greenup, Kentucky and David Lee Riggs of Catlettsburg, Kentucky: six grandchildren David (Savanna) Monroe Jr, Dawnita (Tony Mucick) Pruitt, Kayelea (Taylor) Reed, Aimee (Jherrell) Jackson, Dustin Ray Monroe, Dori Riggs, and many adopted granddaughters through foster care; four great grandchildren Beckett Reed, Hallie Jo Monroe, Deaira Riffe, & James Riffe; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be conducted at 1:00pm, Saturday, October 31, 2026, at Crystal Dawn Cemetery, Garrison, Kentucky, by Minister Delmar Rogers.  Condolences may be made at www.rlrfuneralhome.com
