Gary Don Pummill, 80, of McDermott, Ohio, passed away, March 19, 2025, at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth, Ohio. Gary was born on January 8, 1945, in Hillsboro, Ohio, a son of the Late Donald and Eileene Pummill. He was a 1963 graduate of Whiteoak High School in Highland Co. Ohio where he played basketball. He loved to fish and race late model cars. He was a very loving and outgoing person and a wonderful dad.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Daisy Deanna Pummill and one grandson Brandon Oats.
He is survived by six daughters Robin Ann (Ron) Martin of Greenup, Kentucky, Deborah Lynn (Buddy) Brown of Chillicothe, Ohio, Samantha Ann (Bill) Moser of Williamsport, PA, Michelle Shannon Clark of Greenup, Kentucky, Kimberly Dawn Cox of Greenup, Kentucky, and Barbara Lynn Clark of Greenup, Kentucky; grandchildren Tia (Ernie) Cyrus, Tasha (Jeff) Gee, Michael (Shelby) Howland, Don Robert Davis, Ryan (Shawnda) Davis, Michael Pummill, Traci Dawn Cox, James Michael Cox, and Kaitlyn Clark; great grandchildren Bentley Cyrus, Weston Cyrus, Junior Cyrus, Brandalynn Gee, Jordan Gee, and Xavier Cyrus; great great grandchildren Gabriel Davis, Riley Davis, Harper Grace Davis, and Malcom Howland.
A celebration of life will be held from 4:00 – 6:00pm on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup, Kentucky. Condolences may be made at www.rlrfuneralhome.com.
