Christine Hamilton, 91, of Wurtland, Kentucky passed away Thursday, April 10, 2025, at her residence. Christine was born March 15, 1934, in Oldtown, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Langley and Rosa Sark Coffey.

 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 67 years Clarence Edward Hamilton; three brothers Paul Coffey, Wendell Coffey, and Curtis Coffey; four sisters Lula Danner, Grace Woods, Faye Hensley, and Lena Conley; one daughter in law Diane Hamilton; two grandchildren Jonathan Hamilton and Benji McDowell.

 

She is survived by one son Paul Edward Hamilton of Naples, Kentucky; three daughters Catherine Sue (Ray) Halleck of South Point, Ohio, Connie Lou (Jack) Wells of Wurtland, Kentucky, and Karen Rose (Roger) Helms of Flatwoods, Kentucky; one brother Ronald Coffey of Naples, Kentucky; one sister Marie Potter of Flatwoods, Kentucky; seven grandchildren Jamey (Tricia) Halleck, Allen (Tracey) Halleck, Paul Hamilton Jr., Nathan McDowell, Summer (Josh) O’Neal, Christy Mynhier, and J.R. (Olivia) Wells; fifteen great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.

 

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup, Kentucky by Pastor Ralph Wells. Burial will be in Sexton Cemetery in Greenup, Kentucky. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 pm on Monday at the funeral home and one hour before the service on Tuesday. Condolences may be made at www.rlrfuneralhome.com.
