William Thomas “Bill” Caudill





William Thomas “Bill” Caudill, 80, of Ashland, Kentucky, went home to be with the Lord, Monday, July 18, 2022, at Saint Mary’s Medical Center in Huntington, West Virginia.

Bill was born January 5, 1942, in Argillite, Kentucky a son of the late William Thomas and Goldie Patton Caudill Sr.


He was a 1961 graduate of the former Greenup High School. He was a retired conductor from CSX Railroad and attended the First Baptist Church of Russell. Bill loved classic cars, going to car shows and spending his winters at their Florida home in Sebring.


In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his only son Eddie Caudill; four brothers Claude Caudill, Russell Caudill, Melvin Caudill, and Virgil Caudill; two sisters Loretta Hensley and Florice Powell.


He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Mary Lou Caudill; a grandson Michael Thomas Caudill of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; five brothers Lovell (Opal) Caudill of Fort Myers, Florida, Donald Caudill of Ashland, Kentucky, Jimmy (Glennis) Caudill of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Dale (Carla) Caudill of Carter City, Kentucky, and Gary (Rosanna) Caudill of Lloyd, Kentucky; four sisters Alviretta Buck of Henderson, Tennessee, Betty Ann (Terry) Burton of Russell, Kentucky, Rosalee Caudill of Greenup, Kentucky, and Carol (Mike) Owens of Jacksonville, Florida; a host of nieces, nephews and family who will greatly miss him.


A memorial service will be conducted at 1:00 pm, Monday, July 25, 2022, at First Baptist Church of Russell by Pastor Ken Gowin. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until service time on Monday.
