Patricia Ann Allen

Patricia Ann Allen, 67, of Greenup, Kentucky, formerly of Bangor, Michigan, passed away suddenly, Wednesday, October 21, 2026, at UK Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Kentucky. Patty was born March 2, 1959, in Anderson, Indiana, a daughter of the late Edwin and Virginia Rice Appel.

Patty was a 1977 graduate of Summitville High School in Summitville, Indiana. She retired from the United Sates Post Office in Bangor, Michigan, as a mail carrier with 33 years’ service. She loved gardening and was a talented woodworker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Glen Edwin Appel and a sister Anita Slaughtger.

She is survived by a son Michael (Laura) Appel of Salem, Oregan; two daughters Brittany Allen of Greenup, Kentucky and  Brandie Jo (Nicholas) Fliszar of Bangor, Michigan; three brothers William Appel of Indiana, Mike (Heidi) Appel of Wisconsin, and Ray (Catherine) Appel of Georgia; six sisters Sue Appel Summers of Marion, Indiana, Linda Appel Shumpert of Grand rapids, Michigan, Billie Jo (Jack) Swindle of Alabama, Alice Appel of Texas, Peggie Lee Appel of Tennessee and Debbie Appel of Georgia; six grandchildren Leviathan Fliszar, Andromeda Fliszar, Valkyrian Fliszar, RahFaytheon Fliszar, Isis Appel, and Demetris Appel.

There are no services at this time.  The Family will be having a private Celebration of Life at a later date. Reed Funeral Home in Greenup has been entrusted with the arrangements. Condolences may be made at www.rlrfuneralhome.com
