Rosemary Bonzo Bays

Rosemary Bonzo Bays, 91, of Raceland Kentucky went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, March 28th, 2021 in Greensburg, Indiana.

Rosemary was born January 16, 1930 in Raceland, Kentucky a daughter of the late Louis P and Amelia Burkhardt Bonzo.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Bays; a daughter Trina (Bays) Mullins; two brothers Jerry Bonzo and Charles Bonzo.

Rosemary was an active member of Wurtland United Methodist Church and later Grace United Methodist Church in Raceland.

She served as youth leader, choir member, and a host of support roles for the church. Rosemary loved reading and gardening and could impress family by naming any flower or bird on sight. She loved outdoors, fishing, walking on the beach with the ocean breeze in her hair and the sun on her face. Rosemary also had a love of music and her love of these things will live on through her family.

Rosemary was intensely proud of her family and she will be missed by all who knew her. She will always be Mom, Mam-Maw, and GG.

She is survived by her daughter, Stephanie (Tom) Hansen of Batesville, Indiana; four grandchildren, Stacy (Chad) Oswald, Matthew (Christina) Mullins, Caitlin (Mullins) Garner, Tyler (Amanda) Hansen, and Alana Mullins, and four great-grandchildren, Caleb, Alyssa, Cole, and Teddy; a brother David (Peggy) Bonzo of Merritt Island, Florida; a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup by Minister Don Young. Burial will be in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens in Flatwoods, Kentucky.
