Preston Lee “Doodles” Conley, 62, of Grayson, Kentucky, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, June 5, 2025, at his home surrounded by his family who loved him dearly. “Doodles” was born April 10, 1963, in Portsmouth, Ohio, a son of the late Felix and Avanell Webster Conley.
“Doodles” was a 1981 graduate of Greenup County High School and was a member of the Hopewell Methodist Church. He truly enjoyed coaching his daughter in softball for many years and lead the team to the 2011 Kentucky State Champs. He coached the girls on his team for many years and loved them all. He was an avid University of Kentucky and Pittsburg Steelers fan.
He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Kimberlee Felty Conley; a daughter Ashlee (Micah) Conley of Greenup, Kentucky; three brothers James Conley of South Shore, Kentucky, Michael (Robin) Conley of Argillite, Kentucky, and Felix “Bunk” (Sherry) Conley of Flatwoods, Kentucky; a sister Oreta (Dwayne) May of Argillite, Kentucky; two grandchildren Rylee Sullivan and Brynlee Sullivan; a very special friend Russell Newland of Grayson, Kentucky; a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends who will miss him dearly.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm, Saturday, June 7, 2025, at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup, Kentucky by Pastor Chris Bellew. Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery, South Shore, Kentucky. Visitation will be from 11:00am until service time on Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contribution may be made to Community Hospice, 1480 Carter Ave. Ashland, Kentucky 41101.
