Patricia Ann McClurg

Patricia Ann McClurg, 63, of South Shore, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth, Ohio. Patricia was born May 15, 1960, in Marion, Ohio, a daughter of Ruth Cross Akers of Ironton, Ohio and the Late Clyde Akers. Patricia loved spending time with her family and friends. She loved to dance, loved her pets, and enjoyed making quilts. She was a member of the Eagles #4285 in Portsmouth, Ohio.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her late husband Jack McClurg; one son Clyde David McClurg and two brothers Calvin Akers and Jimmy Akers.

In addition to her mother she is survived by three sons Billy Jack McClurg of Portsmouth, Ohio, Denny Ray McClurg of Portsmouth, Ohio, and Daran Lee McClurg of Franklin Furnace, Ohio; one daughter Amy McClurg of Chillicothe, Ohio; special friend Denzil Burgett of South Shore, Kentucky; six brothers Jason (Marlene) Akers of Wurtland, Kentucky, Ray (Terri) Akers of Ashland, Kentucky, Harrison (Marg) Akers of Knoxville, Tennessee, Ronald (Leia) Akers of Wurtland, Kentucky, and Clifford (Jenny) Akers of Ironton, Ohio; three sisters Sheila (Mike) Sutton of South Shore, Kentucky, Sandy (Tim) Parsons of Grayson, Kentucky, Brenda Fairchild of Crestview, Florida; five grandchildren Joshua Andrew Maxie, Justin Tyler Maxie, Brooklyn Moore, Jasper McClurg, and Heavenleigh McClurg; sister-in-law Donna Akers of Wurtland, Kentucky; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup, Kentucky by Pastor Gary Arthors and Bro. Mike Sutton. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until service time on Wednesday. Condolences may be made at www.rlrfuneralhome.com.
