Murriel Jean Allen

Murriel Jean Allen, 88, of Greenup, Kentucky passed away Thursday, February 18, 2021 at King’s Daughters’ Medical Center in Ashland, Kentucky. Mrs. Allen was born February 13, 1933 in Boyd, Kentucky a daughter of the late Millard and Garnet Hurst Billups. Murriel was ne of the nicest, kindest people you would ever meet. She loved everybody and truly loved her church where she was a long-time member.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers Millard F. Billups and Lloyd Billups; one sister Helen Howard; one daughter Rhonda L. Allen; and one grandson Clinton Smith.

She is survived by her companion Newell Robinson

Funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Wednesday February 24, 2021 at Lloyd First Baptist Church in Lloyd, Kentucky by Pastor Rusty Foster and Bro. Mike King. Burial will be in Hurst Cemetery in Lloyd, Kentucky. Visitation will be from 6:00 pm- 8:00 pm on Tuesday at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup, Kentucky and one hour before the service on Wednesday at the church.
