Lois Darlene Meenach Hobson

Lois Darlene Meenach Hobson, 68, of Greenup, Kentucky, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, July 4, 2021, surrounded by her family at King’s Daughters’ Medical Center in Ashland, Kentucky.

Lois was born October 19, 1952, in Morehead, Kentucky a daughter of the late Hubert and Viola Bowles Worthington.

She was a very loving wife, mother, and a wonderful grandmother. She loved being a mamaw, working in her flowers and taking care of her fur babies. Most importantly Lois was a Christian.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by four brothers Bud, Curt, Glen and Robert Worthington; six sisters Carolyn Wolfe, Midge Claxon, Mae Abdon, Minnie Robertson, Betty McLaughlin, and Margaret Worthington.

She is survived by her loving husband of 32 years James David Hobson; two daughters Andrea Renee (Jeremy) Decker of Tampa, Florida and Lacy (Chris) Stafford of Greenup, Kentucky; five sisters Katy Trout, Rosemary Evans, Georgia Bays, Sandy Floyd, Karen C. Mowery, Donna Cooper; three grandchildren Gemma Stafford, Cole Decker and Corbin Decker; a step-son Jamie Hobson of South Portsmouth, Kentucky; four step-daughters Kimberly Hall of South Portsmouth, Kentucky, Missy Tucker and Tina Hobson both of South Shore, Kentucky and Stacy Thomas of Lucasville, Ohio; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and family who loved her dearly and her fur babies, “Toby”, “Spencer” and her cats who she loved.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am Friday, July 9, 2021, at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup by Pastor John Lybrook.

Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 pm Thursday and one hour before the service on Friday.
