Joe Dale Akers, 62, of Greenup, Kentucky passed away July 16, 2025, at his residence in Greenup. Joe was born October 29, 1962, in Ashland, Kentucky, a son of the late Eldid and Joy Bailey Akers. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother Tommy Akers.
He is survived by the love of his life Thelma Shepard Akers; one step son Jeffery Shepard of Ashland, Kentucky; one step daughter Tiffany Shepard of Ashland, Kentucky; five brothers James Akers of Rush, Kentucky, Danny (Jennie) Akers of Wooster, Ohio, Tony (Kathy) Akers of Greenup, Kentucky, Richard (Charlotte) Akers of South Point, Ohio, Terry (Lorie) Akers of Rush, Kentucky; two sisters Brenda (Tad) Johns of Mt. Vernon, Ohio and Tonya (Kenny) Clark of Ashland, Kentucky; and one grandchild Bella Clark.
