My deepest sympathy and kindest regards to the Stuart and Juergensmeyer families. Jane was very kind to me and it was always a pleasure to visit with her. I am honored to have known her. Jane will live on through her publications and through the Jesse Stuart Founndation.
I was very sorry to learn of Jane's passing. I truly enjoyed meeting and visiting with her last summer and giving her a copy of Kentucky Is My Home: A Journey into the Life of Jesse Hilton Stuart. I would love to have talked with her in more detail about life growing up in W-Hollow. She was a fascinating individual and very talented writer, and I enjoyed reading the poems she sent to me. My sincere condolences to the family.
