Harry “Poochie” Bailey, 81, 0f Ironton, Ohio, formerly of Flatwoods, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Kentucky surrounded by his loving family. Harry was born, March 5, 1944, in Ashland, Kentucky, a son of the late Harm and Josephine Potter Bailey.


Harry was a 1962 graduate of Russell High School and was owner of Hometown Carpets in Ashland, Kentucky since 1989. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed boating, spending time on the river, and riding motorcycles.  He will be remembered for his generous-giving nature, loving personality, always smiling, and positive outlook on life.  He always strived to help others in need.


In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

He is survived by two sons Brian Keith (Jamie) Bailey and Carl Jason Bailey both of Fort Mitchell, Kentucky; a daughter Belinda Sue Bailey of Ironton, Ohio; three grandchildren Kory Brian Bailey, Daylan River Bailey, and Tanner Vaughn Bailey; a great-grandson Bane Brian Bailey; a host of nieces, nephews, family, and special friends that loved him and will miss him dearly.


A private celebration of life will be held at a later date. Reed Funeral in Greenup, Kentucky has been entrusted will the arrangements
