Doris Jo Collett

Doris Jo Collett, 93, of Greenup, Kentucky went to be with the Lord, Saturday, January 29, 2022, at her residence in Greenup, Kentucky. Mrs. Collett was born March 4, 1928, in Ashland, Kentucky a daughter of the late Proctor R. Sr, and Ethel Hayes Lyon. In addition to her parents, she was preceded death by her husband Matthew Collett Sr.; one daughter Elizabeth Jane Collett Smith; five sisters Adelene Lyon, Aliene Nelson, Roberta Daniels, Louise Kilgore, Geneva Fritz; and a son-in-law Floyd Ison Jr. She is survived by two sons Matthew (Debbie) Collett Jr. of Burnaugh, Kentucky and Mark (Rhonda Helms) Collett of Greenup, Kentucky; two daughters Patricia Ison of Harstville, South Carolina and Sandra Jo (Richard) Damron of Worthington, Kentucky; two brothers Charles (Nina) Lyon of Greenup, Kentucky and Proctor "June" Lyon Jr. of Westwood, Kentucky; nine grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren. Graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, February 2, 2022, at Collett Cemetery in Greenup, Kentucky by Pastor David Nees.
