David Joseph Collier

David Joseph Collier, 52, of W-Hollow Road, Greenup, Kentucky went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday October 2, 2021. David was born July 7, 1969, in Ashland, Kentucky the son of Ray J. and June Kitchen Collier of Greenup. He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Leonard F. and Daisy Moore Kitchen; paternal grandparents, Calloway and Hazel Morris Collier and Flora Reed Collier, as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

David was a 1987 graduate of Greenup County High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical and electronic technology from Morehead State University. He was a retired electrician.

David was a devout Christian who loved to share his love of Jesus Christ through song. He was a talented vocalist, guitarist, and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time outdoors with family.

In addition to his parents, David is survived by his wife Anna Conn Collier; three children Jade Conn, Winston Conn, and Aeriell (Josh) Gilbert; five grandchildren, Phoenix and Trista Gilbert, and Darian, Daisy, Kaizer, and Hayden Conn; one brother Tim (Yvonne) Collier of Knoxville, Tennessee; one sister Cindy Collier of Greenup, nephews Zachary and Carter Collier of Knoxville; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends who mourn his passing.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday October 7, 2021, at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup, Kentucky by David’s uncle Rev. Carl Collier. Burial will be in Collier-Kitchen Family Cemetery.
