Gail Blanton

Gail Blanton, 68, of Greenup, Kentucky was reunited with family and friends on August 29, 2020 at King’s Daughters’ Medical Center in Ashland, Kentucky. Mrs. Blanton was born July 17, 1952 in Greenup, Kentucky a daughter of the late Cag Davis and Blanche Marie Stephenson. Gail retired from Kinnner Lumber in Greenup, Kentucky. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years William Russell Blanton; one brother Marion D. Nelson; and one sister Vera Stephenson Adams.

She is survived by

One son Alan (Joann) Patrick Blanton of Clay City, Kentucky

Two daughters

Rebecca Jane Claxon of Greenup, Kentucky

Judith Amanda (Bobby) Chaffins of Greenup, Kentucky

One sister

Judy Ferguson of Tollsboro, Kentucky

Six grandchildren

Jordan (Allie) Woosley, Brianna (Nathan) Carr, Trace Alan Claxon, Chase Russell (Victoria Hall) Claxon, Sadie Jane Chaffins, and Nathan Patrick Chaffins

Funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Tuesday September 1, 2020 at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup, Kentucky by Pastor Tim Wright. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until service time. Condolences may be made at www.rlrfuneralhome.com.
