Sylvia Mae Triplett McDermott

Sylvia Mae Triplett McDermott, 92, of Greenup, Kentucky passed away Sunday, September 8, 2019 at her home. Mrs. McDermott was born December 9, 1926 in Greenup, Kentucky a daughter of the late Johnny and Rebecca Poplin Triplett.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Charles J. McDermott; five sisters Mary Margaret Traylor, Dorothy Osborne, Rhebie Gullett, Gracie Brown, and Stella Slaughter; three brothers Ellis Triplett, James Triplett, and Robert Triplett; and one son in law John Krolikowski and one brother in law Clarence McDermott.

She is survived by two sons

Several nieces, nephews and other family members who will miss her dearly.

Funeral service will be conducted at 12:00 pm on Thursday September 12, 2019 at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup, Kentucky by Chaplin Betsy Cole. Burial will be in Kirby Flatts Cemetery in Ashland, Kentucky. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 pm on Wednesday and one hour before the service on Thursday.
