Ernest Leon Bailey

Ernest Leon Bailey, 75, of South Shore, Kentucky passed away Tuesday November 27, 2018 at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Kentucky. Mr. Bailey was born December 3, 1942 in Greenup, Kentucky a son of the late Edward and Mamie Brown Bailey. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers William Bailey and Hayden Jr. Bailey.; and one sister Louise Bradley. Ernest loved farm work, taking care of his cows, horses and dogs, and he loved to dance every weekend at the Red Barn. He was retired from CSX.

He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years Carol Miller Bailey

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Friday November 30, 2018 at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup, Kentucky by Pastor Bob Bradley. Burial will be in Eggers Cemetery in York, Kentucky. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 pm on Thursday and one hour before the service on Friday.
