Austin Troy Burton


Austin Troy Burton, 78, of Greenup, Kentucky went to be with the Lord Monday October 29, 2018 at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Burton was born May 22, 1940 in York, Kentucky a son of the late Ernest Burton and Nancy Evelyn Howard Burton. Troy was a faithful and devoted member of Eureka Enterprise Baptist Church. He loved going to church, hunting and having a conversation with anyone. He never met a stranger.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his step mother Dora Bell Burton; his first wife Ruby Pauline Burton; and three brothers Homer Burton, Roy Burton, and Milton McGuire.

He is survived by his loving wife Nancy Thorpe Burton

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Friday November 2, 2018 at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup, Kentucky by Elder Gary Burton and Elder Dustin Doyle. Burial will be in Quillen Cemetery in Lynn, Kentucky. Visitation will be from 6:00-9:00 pm on Thursday November 1, 2018 and two hours before the service on Friday.
