Janet Rae Salley

Janet Rae Salley, 87, of Rush, Kentucky passed away Thursday August 16, 2018 at her residence. Mrs. Salley was born March 29, 1931 in Ashland, Kentucky a daughter of the late Tracey and Erie Gertrude Willis Deal. Janet attended Cane Creek Freewill Baptist Church. She taught at various one room schools throughout Greenup County for many years. She was a very devoted wife and mother and was always a very hard worker.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one brother Kermit Deal; and three sisters Maxine Binion, Louise Gillespie, and Georgie Click.

She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years Curtis Salley

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Sunday August 19, 2018 at Cane Creek Freewill Baptist Church in Argillite, Kentucky by Pastor Rondall Blevins. Burial will be in Cane Creek Cemetery in Argillite. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until service time at the church on Sunday. Reed Funeral Home in Greenup, Kentucky is in charge of arrangements.
