Bessie LaDonna Felty
Bessie LaDonna Felty, 76, of Oldtown, Kentucky went to be with the Lord Friday, June 29, 2018 at Wurtland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Wurtland, Kentucky surrounded by her loving family. Bessie was born September 16, 1941 in Ashland, Kentucky a daughter of the late Charles and Roberta Brown Pruitt. Bessie was a wonderful homemaker, mother and grandmother. She loved her family greatly. She was known at the Oldtown Pie Socials for her chocolate and vanilla fudge and her great cooking. She loved gardening, farming and cooking. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Oldtown and Oldtown Fire Department Women’s Auxiliary for many years. She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Lloyd Luke Felty

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm Monday, July 2, 2018 at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup by Pastor John Lybrook and Bro. Danny Brown. Burial will be in the Oldtown Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 – 9:00 pm Sunday and one hour before the service on Monday at the funeral home. The family would like to thank 3 special caregivers, hospice, the doctors at Bellefonte Family Medicine Center and the nurses and staff at Wurtland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for all their kindness and love in caring for Bessie.
