Marilyn Stokes

Marilyn Stokes, 89, of Greenup, Kentucky went to be with the Lord, Friday, April 13, 2018 at Oakmont Manor in Flatwoods, Kentucky.

Marilyn was born February 13, 1929 in Lost Creek, Kentucky a daughter of the late Frances Marion and Sarah Ellen Terry Bush.

She was a member of the Wurtland Missionary Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers Robert Bush and Herbert Bush; seven sisters Margaret Allen, Cora Cantrell, Bertha Justice, Betty Meadows, Nina Justice, Lillian Sizer, and Pearlie Bush.

She is survived by one sister Nellie Brewer of Connersville, Indiana; a good friend Lois Stephens; and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff at Oakmont Manor and the staff of Community Hospice for how good they were to Marilyn.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm Monday, April 16, 2018 at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup. Burial will be in The Stephens Memorial Cemetery in Oldtown, Kentucky.
