Thurman J. Ross

Thurman J. Ross, 81, of Argillite, Kentucky went to be with the Lord Saturday, January 13, 2018 at his home. Mr. Ross was born August 13, 1936 in Blaine, Kentucky a son of the late Henry Chilton and Molly Genevieve Moore Ross. He was a retired millwright from AK Steel. He was a youth choir leader for many years at Williams Creek Church of God. He later attended Argillite Nazarene Church where he was a youth leader for several years. He loved to fish, hunt and coon hunting was one of his favorites. He loved to play gospel music. He played guitar in many gospel groups, The Revelators, Way Makers Children and the Ross Family Band were a few of the groups. He loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren dearly. Thurman was a wonderful husband and father who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup by Rev. James Harris and Rev. Roger Ross. Burial will be in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens in Flatwoods, Kentucky. Visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 pm Tuesday and one hour before the service on Wednesday.
