Jerry Dean Brown

Jerry Dean “Sack” Brown, 74, of Worthington, Kentucky passed away, Friday, April 28, 2017 in Wurtland, Kentucky.

Jerry was born August 13, 1942 in Jacksonville, Florida a son of the late Charles and Juanita Collins Brown.

Jerry was a 1960 graduate of Raceland High School. He was retired from CSX Railroad and International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers with over 40 years service. He was on the Board of C & O Federal Credit Union and was an active member of the Greenup County Democratic Party for which he proudly served as county chairman. He was a United States Air Force Veteran and was of the Methodist Faith.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Nellie Sue Kiger Brown and one brother Charles Gary Brown.

He is survived by

Tanny Brown of Ashland, Kentucky

Mindy and Eric Keeton of Raceland, Kentucky

One brother

Ronald Brown of Raceland, Kentucky

Five grandchildren

Michael Brown

Taray Brown

Rashae Brown

Zoey Hope Keeton

Zaylee Faith Keeton

And numerous other family and friends who loved him dearly. Jerry will be greatly missed.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 pm, Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup by Dr. Tom Melvin. Burial will be in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North East, Greenup, Kentucky.

Military rites will be performed by American Legion Post 93 Honor Guards, Kenova, WV

Visitation will be from 6:00 – 9:00 pm Monday at the funeral home.
