Creed Wilson Thomas

Creed Wilson Thomas, 83, of Wurtland, Kentucky died very peacefully Saturday March 18, 2017 at his residence.

Mr. Thomas was born February 21, 1934 in Greenup, Kentucky the baby son of the late Lowell and Laura Bays Thomas.

He was an elder in the Old Regular Baptist Church for over 42 years and a member of Little Pond Church in Union Association. He travelled many miles preaching God’s word.

He retired from CSX Railroad with 36 years of service and was a U.S. Army Veteran.

Paul Thomas, Cecil Thomas, and Edward Thomas.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Bonnie Penix Thomas

Greg and Tammy Thomas of Wurtland, Kentucky

Andy Earl Thomas of South Point, Ohio

Francis Bates of Flatwoods, Kentucky

Special first cousins Sheila and Bob Taylor, a host of brothers and sisters from the church, and a host of friends.

Funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Wednesday March 22, 2017 at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup, Kentucky by Elders A.B. Thacker, Jimmy Dale Sanders, Jerry Overstreet, and Bobby Robinson. Burial will be in Brick Union Cemetery in Lloyd, Kentucky.

Visitation will from 6:00-9:00 pm on Tuesday at the funeral home and one hour before the service on Wednesday.
