Zola E. White, 87, of Ashland, Kentucky, went home to be with the Lord, Monday, July 20, 2026, at her home. Zola was born July 25, 1938, in Carter County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Vernon and Ida Howard Hicks. Zola attended Enterprise Baptist Church in Ashland, Kentucky.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Denver R. White; two brothers Silas Hicks and Paul Hicks
She is survived by a son Lonnie D. (Otilia) Allen of Greenup, Kentucky; a granddaughter Stacy (Richard) Westenhofer of Louisville, Kentucky; a grandson Lonnie Dwayne Allen Jr. of Greenup, Kentucky; two great grandsons Richard Joseph Westenhofer IV and Jacob Mathew Westenhofer both of Louisville, Kentucky; special friends Mattie Cooper and Ronnie Adams both of Ashland, Kentucky; a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 pm, Friday, July 24. 2026, at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup by Minister Steve Williams.
Visitation will be from 11:00am until service time on Friday. Burial will be in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens in Flatwoods, Kentucky.

Zola had the biggest heart! She valued her family to the utmost as she was also the glue to hold us all together ❤️
Zola was like a second mother to me. She also was the same for my other cousins. She held me when I was a baby. She even babysitted with me as a baby. Zola & my Mom were bestest lifelong cousins/friends. So naturally, Zola was always there for me!
Zola helped pull us through the losses of our own parents. She was always there or a phone call away. Loving, supporting, & encouraging us through our most difficult times in life!
Most every holiday she spent many long, hard hours putting together great meals for all…
I always want to remember Zola cheering for UK Basketball and she would tell the doctor she may look good but it didn’t mean she didn’t feel bad.
Zola loved the Lord !!
