Patrick Timothy Conley, 70, of Ashland, Kentucky, formerly of Akron, Ohio, passed away Friday, July 24, 2026, at his home in Ashland, Kentucky surrounded by his loving family. Patrick was born July 20, 1956, in Akron, Ohio, a son of the late James and Anna Sue Palmer Conley. Patrick was a 1975 graduate of Firestone High School in Akron, Ohio. and was a United States Marine Veteran. He was a member of the Wendell L. Willkie American Legion Post 19 in Akron, Ohio, a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, and a member of the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #7 in Akron, Ohio. He worked for the Akron Sheriff Office and the City of Akron as a deputy and police officer for many years.
In addition to his parents was preceded in death by one sister Colleen (Conley) Breen.
He is survived by two daughters Kelly Conley of Akron, Ohio and Sara (Thomas) Ratliff of Ashland, Kentucky; four brothers Jim Conley, John Conley, Mike Conley, and Kevin Conley all of Akron, Ohio; two sisters Kelly Conley and Mary Conley both of Akron, Ohio; five grandchildren Ethan Ratliff, Owen Ratliff, Adalynn Ratliff, Rhiannon Conley, and Isabella Newman.
Celebration of life will be held at 4:00pm on Friday, July 31, 2026, at Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #7, 2610 Ley Drive, Akron, Ohio 44319, Reed Funeral Home in Greenup, Kentucky has been entrusted with arrangements. Condolences may be made at www.rlrfuneralhome.com.

Where do I begin? You leave a massive hole in my life. I don't really know what to do with the empty space where you have been since I drew my first breath. You taught me everything I know. Even some things I wish I could forget. You were my hero, and my rival. My protector and my antagonizer. We fought against each other and against the world. We were undefeated as a team in hand to hand combat. I always knew I could count on you to have my six, and I had yours. I will miss you brave heart. My condolences to all the Conley family and to my friend Dabney. I went to high school with Pat but didn’t know him well. We connected later in life, and I enjoyed talking about politics and Ireland with him. It was so good to see him at our class reunion last summer. He loved his family and friends, and I know he will be greatly missed.
