Mary Annett Adkins, 65, of Ironton, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord, Monday, May 11, 2026, at UK Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Kentucky. Mary was born August 4, 1960, in Greenup, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Roscoe “Buck” and Mary Riley Adkins.
She was a 1978 graduate of Greenup County High School and was of the Christian faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband Joe Reffett Jr. and her second husband Larry Walker; two sisters, Gladys Louise Adkins and Michelle Meadows.
She is survived by a son Joseph Kyle (Tabitha) Reffett of Grayson, Kentucky; a daughter Betty (Brock) Smith of Ironton, Ohio; two brothers John (Sandra) Adkins of El Paso, Texas and Mike Adkins of Darien, Georgia; two sisters Becky (Bob) Bryant of Oldtown, Kentucky and Jennifer (Chad) Jude of Winchester, Kentucky; five grandchildren Dakota Gumm, Kyle Carr, Ella Reffett, Chase Reffett, and Brock Smith Jr.; two great-grandchildren Ryder Reffett and Paisley Reffett; a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00pm Monday, May 18, 2026, at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup, Kentucky. At the family’s request in lieu of flowers donations may be made towards funeral expenses to the funeral home.
