Harold Stapleton

Harold Stapleton, 93, of South Shore, Kentucky went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Kentucky. Mr. Stapleton was born October 25, 1928 in Elliott, Kentucky, a son of the late Jasper and Stella Marie Porter Stapleton. He was a member of South Shore Church of Christ and a member of Carpenters Union Local 437 in Portsmouth, Ohio. He enjoyed playing the banjo and fiddle and loved farming and all his animals especially his dog “Lady”.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by

One daughter Glenna Gail Blevins; five brothers Vernon Stapleton, Luther Stapleton, Earl Stapleton, Arlie Stapleton, and Forrest Stapleton; and five sisters Beatrice Willis, Beulah Ramsey, Frankie Kovalick, Pauline Burton, and Freda Porter.

Brenda (Donnie) Greene of Greenup, Kentucky

Rhonda (Bill) Vansickle of South Shore, Kentucky

Jasper (Lucille) Stapleton Jr. of Bellville, Ohio

One son in law

Gary Blevins of Greenup, Kentucky

ten grandchildren Jared, Gary Matthew, Jason, Amber, Brandon, Justin, Deidre, Casey, Carly, and Savannah; and thirteen great grandchildren

Funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 am on Monday, November 22, 2021, at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup, Kentucky by Bro. Mike Fyffe. Burial will be in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North East in Greenup, Kentucky. Visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 pm on Sunday at the funeral home and one hour before the service on Monday.
