Geneva Wright Adam

Geneva Wright Adams, 92, of Grayson, Kentucky, formerly of Wurtland, Kentucky, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, February 26, 2026, at UK Kings Daughters in Ashland, Kentucky. Geneva was born on August 12, 1933, in Carter County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Richard and Kate Adams Sparks. She was a member of Tunnel Hill Freewill Baptist Church in Ashland, Kentucky where she was also the Treasurer and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband Roy Wright and her second husband Chester Adams.; a son Lester Wright and a brother Vinas Sparks.

She is survived by one son Leroy “Lee” (Teresa) Wright of Grayson, Kentucky; one daughter in law Suzette Wright of Catlettsburg, Kentucky; four grandchildren Justin Lee Wright of Grayson, Tammy (Rod) Opell of Catlettsburg, Kentucky, Nancy (Terry) Godbey of Rush, Kentucky, Leslie Miranda of Rush, Kentucky; two step grandchildren Mike Adams of Ashland, Kentucky and Nicole Vanderpool of Ashland, Kentucky.

Funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup, Kentucky by Minister Scott Hill. Burial will be in Oldfields Cemetery in Argillite, Kentucky. Visitation will be from 11:00 – 1:00 pm on Wednesday. Condolences may be made at www.rlrfuneralhome.com.
