Gary Steven Bryan

Gary Steven Bryan, 68, of Wurtland, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, July 18, 2026, at UK Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Kentucky surrounded by his family who loved him dearly. Gary was born March 28, 1958, in Russell, Kentucky, a son of Chester Cecil Bryan of Flatwoods, Kentucky and the late Evelyn Corbin Felty. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by two sisters Wannetta Bryan and Carla Anderson.

Gary attended Wurtland Church of God. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his granddaughters, and he loved his little dog “Rooster”.

In addition to his father he is survived by his loving wife of 48 years Loretta Grubb Bryan; a daughter Stephanie (Bassell) Chapman of Argillite, Kentucky; a brother Orville (Jade Lutz) Felty of Ironton, Ohio; two sisters Daphne Bryan of Ironton, Ohio, Wilma Jean (Carl Blevins) Virgin of Argillite, Kentucky; two grandchildren Kala (Kent) Rose of Greenup, Kentucky and Kamrin (Kai) Joyce of Argillite, Kentucky; a dear cousin Rob (Cassandra) Conley of South Shore, Kentucky; a host of nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters in laws who will miss him dearly.

Funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup, Kentucky by Brother Chester Keathley. Burial will be in Bellefonte Memorial Garden in Flatwoods, Kentucky. Visitation will be from 11:00 until service time on Thursday. Condolences may be made at www.rlrfuneralhome.com.
