Eloise Johnson

Eloise Johnson, 86, of Argillite, Kentucky, went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 17, 2026, at UK King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Kentucky. Eloise was born September 23, 1939, in Hunnewell, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Homer and Betty McCall Brown.

In addition to her parents, Eloise was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Chandler Johnson; one son, Mickey Randell Johnson and one sister, Ruie Brown.

She is survived by one son, Leonard Martin (Heather) Johnson of Argillite, Kentucky; two brothers, Homer (Jackie) Brown and Donald (Betty) Brown, both of Argillite, Kentucky; one sister, Betty Moore of Oldtown, Kentucky; a special friend, Janet Felty of Argillite, Kentucky; and two grandchildren, Sophie Johnson and Chandler Johnson.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 am Thursday August 20, 2026, at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup, Kentucky by Pastor Mark Hutchinson and Bro. Danny Brown. Burial will be in East Memory Gardens in Grayson, Kentucky. Visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 pm on Wednesday August 19, 2026, and one hour before the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
