Ernest Lee Boyles

Ernest Lee Boyles, 86, of Greenup, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, June 9, 2020 at the South Shore Nursing Home.

Ernest was born July 15, 1933 in Riverton, Kentucky a son of the late Albert and Elizabeth Pruitt Boyles.

He was a member of the New Life Fellowship Baptist Church in Russell, Kentucky and was a retired engine conducter from AKSteel. He had coached Little League Baseball for over 30 years and he was proudly a United States Army Veteran.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by four brothers Glen Boyles, James Boyles, Charles Boyles and Alvin Boyles; three sisters Helen Craft, Goldie Campbell and Mary McKenzie.

He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years Linda Lou Castle Boyles; three sons Douglas Lee (Erica) Boyles of Lexington, Kentucky, Michael Lee (Michele) Boyles of Raceland, Kentucky and Steven (Sherri) Lyon and Greenup, Kentucky; seven grandchildren Brandon Boyles, Tyler (Lauren) Lyon, Brad Boyles, Kevin (Hayli) Lyon, Seth (Claudia) Fannin, Haley (T.J.) Shelton and Cassie Fyffe; five great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and friends who loved him and will miss him greatly.

Funeral service will be conducted at Noon, Friday, June 12, 2020 the Reed Funeral Home in Greenup by pastor Jason Plummer, Michael Boyles and Brenda Deskins.

Burial will be in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens in Flatwoods, Kentucky. Military rites will be preformed by Marine Corps league Greenbo Detachment #1345.

Visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 pm Thursday and one hour before the service on Friday at the funeral home.
