Sarah Josephine Howard

Sarah Josephine Howard, 85, of York, Kentucky passed away January 14, 2018 at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Kentucky.

Mrs. Howard was born September 18, 1932 in York, Kentucky a daughter of the late Neil and Nannie Anderson Skaggs.

Mrs. Howard was a member and founder of The Apostolic Church of Big White Oak.

She raised and sold produce, enjoyed growing flowers, and being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be greatly missed by all.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Hargest Hager Howard; one son Robert “Bobby” Howard; four brothers; and five sisters.

Nine great grandchildren

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Saturday January 20, 2018 at The Apostolic Church of Big White Oak in York by Pastor Dennis Moore. Burial will be in Howard Cemetery in York.

Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 pm on Friday at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup, Kentucky and one hour before the service on Saturday at the church.
