James Joseph Speta, 78, of Greenup, Kentucky went to be with the Lord on September 14, 2015 at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital surrounded by his family.

Mr. Speta was born January 10, 1937 in Wirt, New York a son of the late James Anthony and Wilma Bradford Speta.

He attended Rockdale Freewill Baptist Church

He was a self-employed logger for most of his life.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Phyllis Speta

One sister Gloria Kish

He was survived by two sons Jerry and Angie Speta of Greenup, Kentucky

Dana and Terry Speta of Machias, NY

1 brother Merle Speta of Centerville, NY

3 sisters Marjorie Bliss of Rushford, NY

Mildred Blue of Wellsville, NY

Melva Peck of Allegany, NY

Funeral service will be at 1:00 pm Friday September 18, 2015 at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup, Kentucky by Bro. Joe Hutchinson. Burial will be in East Carter Memory Gardens in Grayson, Kentucky.

Visitation will be from 6:00-9:00 pm on Thursday and one hour before the service on Friday at the funeral home.
