Wilma Kay Smith

Wilma Kay Smith, 77, of Oldtown, Kentucky, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Kentucky surrounded by her dear family and friends. Kay was born December 16, 1946, in Greenup County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Virgil William and Ollie Hazel Hamm Adkins. She was a member of Lower Grassy Church of Christ. Kay enjoyed singing, gardening, and working on the farm. She was very charitable to the Veterans, St. Jude, and other organizations.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers Lloyd Adkins and Homer Adkins.

She is survived by her loving husband of 35 years Clyde N. Smith; two sons Kevin Howard of South Shore, Kentucky and Kyle Howard of Lexington, Kentucky; a sister Gail (George) McClure of Greenup, Kentucky; one stepson Clyde E. (Shauna) Smith of Garrison, Kentucky; two grandchildren Dalton Smith and Oliva Smith; very special family Matt and Angie Jones and their two children Blake (Rachel) Jones and their son Emmett and Lyndsey (Jake) Buckler.

There will be a private graveside at the Smith – Claxon Cemetery in Oldtown, Kentucky.
