Willie Jefferson “Doc” Craft
Willie Jefferson “Doc” Craft, 77, of Greenup, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord, Monday, December 12, 2022, at King’s Daughters’ Medical Center in Ashland, Kentucky with his loving family by his side. Doc was born August 23, 1945, in Lynn, Kentucky a son of the late Isaac “German” and Audrey Adkins Craft. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, sitting on the porch, and playing cards with his family. Doc married Debora Craft, June 18, 1976. They were blessed with two sons, Paul, and Lawerance. Doc worked as a self-employed equipment operator. He was known for his giving spirit and loved to help his many friends and neighbors. Doc loved watching westerns, especially “Gunsmoke” and attended the Lloyd Church of the Nazarene. His other hobbies included attending his grandchildren’s sporting events and showing his affection by teasing them. Most of all Doc will be remembered as a family man, devoted to his wife and grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son Estille Keith Craft; three brothers Lonnie Craft, Ernest Craft and Burl Craft; a sister Ellie Frasure.
He was survived by his wife of 46 years, Debora Bays Craft; two sons Paul (Amy) Craft and Lawerance (Amber) Craft both of Russell, Kentucky; a daughter Debbie (Ron) Yates of Danelyton, Kentucky; seven grandchildren Jonah, Isaac, Eli, Breanna, Mason, Tyler, and Brent; several great-grandchildren: two sisters Martha Wells of South Shore, Kentucky and Mary Frasure of East Tygart, Kentucky; many nieces, and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00pm, Saturday, December 17, 2022, at Lloyd Church of the Nazarene by Bro. Kenneth Martin Jr. and Pastor Kenneth Martin III. Burial will be in the Howard Cemetery, Greenup, Kentucky. Visitation will be from 11:00am until service time Saturday at the church.
