William Edward “Sonny” Willis

William Edward “Sonny” Willis, 83, of Lucasville, Ohio, passed away, January 9, 2023. William was born March 21,1939 in South Shore, Kentucky a son of the late William Howard Taft Willis and Tilda Pack.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his aunt and uncle who raised him, Melvin and Sarah (Willis) Pollit of Chillicothe, Ohio; infant sister Ada Kathleen Willis; and two sisters Deloris (Willis) Pennisten of South Point, Ohio and Sharon Hart of Portsmouth, Ohio.

He is survived by his daughters Sarah A. Willis of Portsmouth, Ohio and Wanda M. (Willis) Rhinehart of Chillicothe, Ohio; half-brother Ken Willis of Chillicothe, Ohio and half-sister Roberta Willis Hughes of Chillicothe Ohio; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

He retired from the labors Union in Chillicothe, Ohio. He enjoyed dancing, tropical fish and building his own aquariums. He was a very talented Craftsman who built five houses and almost all of his furniture, along with a collection of clocks.

A private Family service will be held at a later date. Those of you that knew Sonny, will understand that this obit was written with his instruction...LOL.
