William “B.J.” McKenzie Ross

William “B.J.” McKenzie Ross, 42, of Ashland, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland. “B.J.” was born October 4, 1980, in West Liberty, Kentucky, a son of the late Howard and Helen Keeton Ross. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one step-son Chevy Virgil Waughtel; two brothers Ronnie Ross, and Howard Lee Ross; one sister Lisha Banks; and one nephew Billy Ray Ross Jr.

He is survived by his wife Betty Joe Christian Ross; two step sons William Christopher Grubb of Cypress, Texas and Gary Wayne Grubb of Cypress, Texas; one step daughter Savannah Rose Grubb of Ashland, Kentucky; two brothers Bobby Ross of Hazard, Kentucky and Billy Ray Ross of Hazel Green, Kentucky; three sisters Raine (David) Gambill of Hazard, Kentucky , Heather (Charlie) Kelly of Ashland, Kentucky, and Cassie (Keith) Anderson of Morehead, Kentucky; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, June 27, 2023, at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup, Kentucky by Pastor David Gambill. Burial will be in Caroline Cemetery in Raceland, Kentucky.
