Vickie Sue Traylor, 70, of Greenup, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at her residence. Vickie was born on May 20, 1954, in Parkersburg, West Virginia, A daughter of the late Victor and Edith Lane. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend who enjoyed camping, traveling, and most of all, cooking for her friends and family
In addition to her parents, Vickie was preceded in death by her two husbands, Cecil Large and Lonnie Traylor; two brothers, Butch Lane and Bud Lane; and two sisters, Carol Lane and Betty Venrick; one step son Jeremy D. Roar.
She is survived by her two sons, Keith (Darla) Large of Gatlinburg, Tennessee, and Lee "Bear" (Emily) Large of Covington, Louisiana; her stepdaughter, Vanessa (Ronnie) Gromada of Roanoke, Virginia; eleven grandchildren, Cody Large, Alexandrea Large, Kelsey Sledd, Gwenyth Large, Olivia Large, Braden Gromada, Jacob Dooley, Ronald Gromada II, Jeremy L. Roar, Caleb Gromada, and Easton Gromada; and two great-grandchildren, Oliver and Judah.
Vickie also leaves behind a special group of family and friends who were like siblings to her: Fern (Steve) Kilgore, Vickie Blanton, Dianne McConaha, Gayle Dixon, Jeff Horn, Pat Horn, Shannon Deerfield, and Kathy Sue Hale. She is also survived by her special niece, Bridgette Ellis, and her close friend, Melinda Lou Scott.
Funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, April 14, 2025, at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup, Kentucky, by Bro. Proctor Kilgore officiating. Burial will follow at Fannin-Barber Cemetery in Wurtland, Kentucky. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the service time on Monday.
