Roxie Lee Elliott VanBibber

Roxie Lee Elliott VanBibber, 92, Wurtland, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at Oakmont Manor Nursing Home in Flatwoods, Kentucky. Roxie was born October 29, 1930, in Greenup, Kentucky a daughter of the late Herbert Hannah and Daisy Artis Hannah Sizemore.

Roxie was a 1948 graduate of the former Greenup High School. She was a member of Bridges Christian Church in Russell, Kentucky and attended Greenup Presbyterian Church. She loved gardening and working outside.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband William Elliott; her second husband Ralph VanBibber; a brother Charles Hannah; three sisters Emogene Bailey, Minnie Belle Sizemore, Watson and Avanelle Sizemore.

She is survived by a son Robert (Rita) Elliott of Flatwoods, Kentucky; a daughter Carolyn Howland of Wurtland, Kentucky; a grandson Mark (Sabrina) Howland; two step great-grandchildren Michael Franklin and Samantha Webb; a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm, Friday, July 14, 2023, at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup, Kentucky by Dr, Tom Melvin. Burial will be in the Plum Grove Cemetery in Greenup, Kentucky. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until service time on Friday. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Community Hospice, 1480 Carter Ave., Ashland, Kentucky, 41101.
