Rose Marie Adkins, 78, of Akron, Ohio, formerly of Greenup, Kentucky passed away Sunday, February 22, 2026, at Arbors at Stow, in Stow, Ohio. Rose was born October 2, 1947, in Ironton, Ohio, a daughter of the late Millard and Enez Potter Neace.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister Janet Miracle.
Rose is survived by her husband of 60 years William Rufus Adkins; a son Jonathan (Stephanie) Adkins of Moline, Illinois; a daughter Angie (John) Beck of Akron, Ohio; two brothers Jerry (Janice) Neace of Louisville, Kentucky and Burtis (Jewell) Neace of Oldtown, Kentucky; three sisters, Frances (Carlos) Flannery of Hermitage, Tennessee, Juanita Zieber of Sandusky, Ohio, and Dorothy (Mike) McClanahan of Flatwoods, Kentucky; one grandchild; a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup, Kentucky by Minister John Lybrook. Burial will be in the Warnock Cemetery, Warnock, Kentucky. What a joy she was to talk with a wealth of knowledge..a wonderful cook her Christmas cookie she baked for her neighbors...her and Rufus's vegetable garden plants they sold in front of ther home for all there neighbors...and her beautiful home and Christmas village display she opened up her home to share with us and neighbors a beautiful soul ❤️ a wonderful lady neighbor to us all and my friend....
