Roger Dale Kilgore

Roger Dale Kilgore, 84, of South Shore, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2022, at South Shore Nursing Home in South Shore, Kentucky. Roger was born September 7, 1938, in West Portsmouth, Ohio a son of the late Arthur and Carmen Stephenson Kilgore. He was the owner and manager of the former Roger Kilgore Furniture, TV and Appliance Stores for 45 years, which were located in Flatwoods, South Shore, Ashland, Kentucky. Portsmouth, Ohio and Huntington, West Virginia. Roger was at one time the largest independent RCA Television dealer in the United States. He was a member of Who’s Who in American Businessmen and most importantly he gave his life to the Lord in April of 2022.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years Mary Elizabeth Stephens Kilgore; a brother Kenneth Kilgore; two sisters Linda Bohem and Judy Beaver.

He is survived by a daughter Sandra and her husband James Wiley of Mason, Ohio; a sister-in-law Shirley Kilgore; three grandchildren Melissa Wiley of Lebanon, Ohio, Erica (Steven) Peterson and Katharine (Kyle) Daasch both of Cincinnati, Ohio; four great-grandchildren Kyle Stover, Jacob Stover, Caleb Daasch and Lucy Daasch; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm Tuesday, September 27, 2022, at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup by Minister Jim Wiley. Burial will be in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens in Flatwoods, Kentucky.
