Pauline Martin

Pauline Martin, 84, of Argillite, Kentucky went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 8, 2024, at her residence in Argillite. Pauline was born November 19, 1939, in Ashland, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Willis R. and Ruby Ruggles Cooper. She was a member of Wurtland Methodist Church. She loved to write poetry and published a few poems. She was a wonderful cook and loved to bake.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James Martin; one son Steven Berle Martin; four sisters Alberta Rister, Carma Conley, Esther Cremeans, and Hester Stevenson.

She is survived by one daughter Tereasa (Steve) Virgin of Ashland, Kentucky; one brother Murl Cooper of South Shore, Kentucky; two sisters Midge (George) Gilbert of South Shore, Kentucky and Marilyn Potter of North Carolina; three grandchildren Dana Buckler, Amy (Randy) Sullivan, and Jamie (Nicole) Buckler; five great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
