Michael Wesley Somon

Michael Wesley Somon, 75, of Wellsburg, West Virginia, passed away Wednesday, April 30, 2024, at Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Kentucky. Michael was born August 15, 1948, in Wheeling, West Virginia, a son of the late Robert and Beatrice Plants Somon. He was a truck driver, Telephony Technician, and teacher for many years He taught in Florida, Virginia, and West Virginia. Michael loved sports, playing golf and enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Steelers play. He loved his grandchildren and spending time with them. He will be greatly missed. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister DeeDee Sheets.

He is survived by two sons Stephen Somon of Lawrence Co., Ohio and Jason (Susan) Somon of Wurtland, Kentucky; one brother Robert (Luanne) Somon of Wellsburg, West Virginia; and four grandchildren Gabbie, Grace, Dawson, and Zoe.
