Melissa Kay Romans. 43 of Portsmouth, Ohio passed away, Friday, June 2, 2023, in SOMC Hospice Care Center, in Portsmouth, Ohio. Melissa was born January 29, 1980, in Ashland, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Russell and Judy Jean Slutz Romans.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers Danny Phil Romans and Michael Aaron Romans.

She is survived by two sons Levi McKinley and Tyler McKinley both of McDermott, Ohio; six brothers Scott Romans of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, Rusty (Cindy) Romans of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Terry (Margaret) Romans of Greenup, Kentucky, Billy Romans of Dalton, Georgia, Dwayne (Jennifer) Romans of Dalton, Georgia and Kelly (Robin) Romans of Grayson, Kentucky; three sisters Barb Jarvis of Donville, Georgia, Sherry (Rick) Dean of Rush, Kentucky and Tammy (Kenny) Robertson of Ashland, Kentucky; five grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
