Marjorie Juanita Crites

Marjorie Juanita Crites, 69, of Greenup, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2022, at King’s Daughters’ Medical Center in Ashland, Kentucky, surrounded by her loving family.

Marjorie was born February 4, 1953, in Springfield, Ohio, a daughter of the late Tilbert Traylor and Pauline Grass Traylor-Walker. She was a 1971 graduate of Urbana High School, was retired from Pathways INC. and was a member of the Eagles 2329 in Ashland, Kentucky.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son Eric Scaggs; a step-daughter Melissa Crites and a brother Tilbert Ray Traylor.

She is survived by her loving husband of 25 years Jimmy Crites Sr.; a daughter Melanie (Michael) Abdon of Flatwoods, Kentucky; a step-daughter Tina (Justin) Taylor of Lexington, Kentucky; a step-son Jimmy (Sue) Crites II of Ashland, Kentucky; two brothers Paul Douglas Traylor of Grayson, Kentucky and Jimmy (Rita) Traylor of Greenup, Kentucky; a sister Earlene Edwards of Grayson, Kentucky; eleven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm Friday, September 16, 2022, at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup by Minister Curtis Daniels. Burial will be in the McGuire Cemetery in Greenup. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until service time on Friday.
