Loretta Kay Allen, 67, of Greenup, Kentucky went to be with the Lord, Sunday, March 2, 2025, at Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Kentucky surrounded by her loving family. Loretta was born March 9, 1957, in Portsmouth, Ohio, a daughter of Loverna “Pearlie” Archey Boyles of Greenup, Kentucky and the late Richard Conley. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by one son Clinton Smith and one sister Annetta “Tookie” Reynolds.
Loretta loved animals and rescued several animals. She loved feeding and watching the cardinals in her yard. She volunteered at Helping Hands for many years and served as a HEAP Office volunteer. She cherished the time spent with her family who she loved dearly. Her kindness and generosity will always be remembered.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 28 years Darvie “Randy” Allen; two sons Johnny (Peggy) Smith of Flatwoods, Kentucky and Curtis Smith of Grayson, Kentucky; one daughter Kayla Smith of Grayson, Kentucky; one brother William Richard (Rose) Conley of Cummings, Georgia; one sister Rita (James) Cline of Greenup, Kentucky; three grandchildren Ethan Smith, Kyle Smith, and Alexzandea Smith; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
Funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Friday, March 7, 2025 at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup, Kentucky by Ministers Jim Nichols and Dave Daniels. Burial will be in Archey Cemetery in Greenup, Kentucky. Visitation will be from 12:00 pm until service time on Friday. Condolences may be made at www.rlrfuneralhome.
