Linda Faye Womack

Linda Faye Womack, 75, of Lloyd, Kentucky, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, March 7, 2024, at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Kentucky. Linda was born July 23, 1948, in Raceland, Kentucky, a daughter of the late William Matthew and Edna Short Keeton.

Linda was a 1966 graduate of Raceland High School and a member of the Wurtland Church of God. She sang gospel music for many years with her family “The Keeton Sisters” and later sang with her husband Jim and her daughter Angie in the Womack Trio. She enjoyed shopping, sewing and loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Merle ”Mick” Keeton; four sisters Vivian Barney, Rose Stevens, Janet Keen and Cheryl Young; a niece Debbie Christy.

She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years James “Jim” Watson Womack; two sons Tony (Tammie) Womack of Bellefonte, Kentucky and Jason (Tiffany) Womack of Lloyd, Kentucky; a daughter Angie (J.D.) Griffith of Greenup, Kentucky; two sisters Brenda (Jack) Keeton Crockett of Flatwoods, Kentucky and Marilyn (David) Stephenson of Russell, Kentucky; six grandchildren Kennedy Womack, Alex Womack, Evan Shaffer, Makayla Griffith, Konner (Hannah Toler) Griffith and Kennah Griffith; a great-granddaughter Harley Griffith; a host of nieces, nephews and family who will miss her dearly.

Funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 pm, Saturday, March 16, 2024, at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup, Kentucky. Burial will be in Brick Union Cemetery in Lloyd, Kentucky.
